Based in Helsinki, Toni Kamula (b. 1978) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is defined by a lifelong passion for storytelling and a creative curiosity. Originally from Kempele by the Gulf of Bothnia, Kamula draws on a rich background in theatre and media arts, often blending modern digital narratives with the timeless aesthetic of film photography.
Kamula’s creative footprint spans across various mediums. As a director, he focuses on short films and audio dramas, with his cinematic works earning international recognition as Official Selections at several prestigious A-category film festivals. His expertise as an actor is equally established, having performed in major television and film productions as well as on Finland’s premier stages, including the Finnish National Theatre and the City Theatres of Helsinki and Lahti.
Voice is a cornerstone of Kamula’s artistry. With a portfolio of over 350 narrated audiobooks, he is one of Finland’s most sought-after voice talents, lending his craft to animated series, commercial projects, and complex audio dramas. This deep immersion in spoken storytelling has made him a frequent voice in panel discussions, podcasts, and media features exploring the evolution of the narrative arts.
Beyond his own artistic output, Kamula is the founder and owner of Third Floor Oy, where he channels his experience into coaching. He mentors authors, art students, and professionals—from creative leads to public speakers—on the nuances of film directing, speech technique, and the art of narration.
For Kamula, whether it is a media art exhibition or a private coaching session, the goal remains the same: to find the most authentic and impactful way to tell a story.
